Tuition Assistance and Scholarship Information

Tuition Assistance 
Families interested in applying for tuition assistance/financial aid (distributed through the Diocese of Richmond’s Parish Sharing, McMahon Parater Foundation, and Peninsula Catholic Endowment and Scholarships) for the 2018-2019 school year should apply online. The following information is required in order for FACTS to process your application:
  • Complete the online application form either through the link within our online application or at
  • Copy of your filed 2016 or 2017 Form 1040 Individual Income Tax Return.
  • Copy of your 2017 Form W-2 Wage & Tax Statement(s).
  • Copy of supporting documentation for other income received during 2016, including Social Security Income, Welfare, Child Support, Food Stamps, Workers’Compensation, and TANF.
  • Payment of the $30 application fee to FACTS.
Any questions with respect to the online application should be directed to FACTS by calling toll free at (866) 315-9262 Monday–Thursday between 11:00 am and 8:00 pm, or Friday between 11:00 am and 6:00 pm.

New and returning families applying for financial aid must complete the online application and send all required supporting documentation to FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment before the Wednesday, March 1, 2018 deadline. It is imperative that you complete the application before the deadline above to be considered for the first round of tuition assistance/financial aid. Money may still be available for those who apply after March 1.

After the Diocese of Richmond determines the amount of financial aid based on all relevant information, Peninsula Catholic High School will send you a letter describing the total amount of your tuition assistance/financial aid award. We request that you sign a copy of the award letter and return it to us so that we have a record of your acceptance of the award on file.


Through the generosity of individual donors and organizations, several scholarships are available through Peninsula Catholic High School. Scholarships that are solely need-based are awarded through the tuition assistance/financial aid process described above.
Scholarships that have specific criteria attached are advertised and awarded by the consensus of the designated review committee. These scholarships may not be available every year as they follow the specific student through graduation. To be eligible for consideration for an available scholarship, families must first apply to FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment. Please see below for a list of scholarships available.

Scholarship Opportunities 2018-2019

Named Scholarship Opportunities
Benjamin J. Fiscella Memorial Scholarship
Candidates must be Catholic in good standing, of African-America descent, have and maintain a grade point average of 2.0 and demonstrate financial need. This scholarship is renewable while the student attends PCHS as long as criteria is met.
Sam and Rose Foulk Memorial Scholarship
 Candidate will be rising 9th grade students who have demonstrated academic excellence (G.P.A. 3.0) and a desire to be involved in community service. They must also be evidence of financial need. This scholarship is renewable while the student attends PCHS as long as criteria is met.
Hilt Family Scholarship
Candidates must be female and must maintain a 2.0 GPA. There must also be evidence of financial need. This scholarship is renewable while the student attends PCHS as long as criteria is met.
Oren and Marian Marks Memorial Scholarship
Candidates must have and maintain a GPA of 2.0 and will be expected to be involved in community service while in high school. There must also be evidence of financial need. This scholarship is awarded on a yearly basis.
Ronald C. Messier Scholarship
Candidates will be a 9th grade student, male or female, and must have good discipline standing from their previous school and remain in good discipline standing during their time at PCHS. This scholarship award will be granted to a different 9th grade student recipient each year.
VuBay Foundation - Gertrude Siegrist Dixon Scholarships
Candidates must be rising 9th - 12th grade students with evidence of financial need and academic promise.

Knights of Columbus Council 5480 and Council 511 Student Assistance Scholarships
Candidates must be a practicing Catholic and a member of a Peninsula parish. There must also be evidence of financial need. These scholarships are awarded on a yearly basis.

Student Assistance Scholarships

Student Assistance Scholarships for the 2018-2019 school year are funded by the Diocese of Richmond’s McMahon Parater Foundation, the Diocese of Richmond’s Parish Sharing Fund, Peninsula Catholic’s Home and School Association Scholarship, and Peninsula Catholic’s Scholarship Endowment Fund. These scholarships are awarded yearly.
  • The Knight Scholarship:  up to $499

  • The Sword and Shield Scholarship:  $500-999

  • The St. Vincent de Paul Scholarship: $1,000-1,499

  • PC’s Community Spirit Award:  $1,500-1,999

  • The Principal’s Leadership Award:  $2,000-2,499

  • The Sisters of Nazareth Scholarship:  $2,500-3,000
