Varsity Boys Soccer-- Bryson D. and James B.

Bryson is a team captain, he scored in the first game of the season, and arranged to sell PC golf raffle tickets at Resurrection Catholic Church. Bryson sold 59 tickets and helped at both masses this past weekend-the only player that showed up to help on Sunday. Your character and effort both on and off the field is admired.

James B. is the player of the week for his communication and leadership on the field, working to pass the ball to give others the opportunity to have a chance to score, and his 2 goals and 2 assists.

Girls Cross Country

The Lady Knights ran to success this past Saturday at the Newport News Invitational!  They finished 2nd in the C Division outdistancing six teams. The athlete of the week is Megan M. Megan stepped up her game this past weekend at the Al Dorner Newport News Invitational by finishing as the team’s number 4 runner and 24th overall out of 66 runners. She had her best race ever, setting a personal best time.

JV Boys XC--Jonathan M.
Jonathan is quickly making a name for himself. An 8th grader, he medaled in the JV race and is currently ranked in the top 5 for the team.

Varsity Boys Cross Country--Ryan H.
Ryan has come back this year in full force. He recorded a personal best at the Newport News Invitational, medaling, and taking the 2 spot on the team.

Boys Volleyball--Kameron K.

Kameron had a great match against Bishop Sullivan last week with 7 service aces out of 14 serves and no errors!  He is a hard worker and represents the team with his consistency and positive attitude.

JV Volleyball: Madeleine H.

Madeleine led the team with 9 kills on 15 attempts. She also had 2 blocks in Tuesday’s match against Greenbrier Christian Academy. She was an integral part of the team’s 1-0 start in conference play.

Varsity Girls Volleyball: Baileigh E. and Kailer L.

The lady Knights improved their overall record to 6-1 and conference record to 1-0 with a victory over Greenbrier Christian Academy. Two of our Seniors hit career milestones and, therefore, will both be Athletes of the Week.  The first is Baileigh E. Bailey hit the 1000 kill mark being only the forth Lady Knight in Peninsula Catholic Volleyball history. The second Lady Knight, Senior Kailer L., became the first player in Peninsula Catholic history to tally 2000 assists.
