The annual Diocesan Youth Conference (DYC) took place last weekend in Richmond. It was a great opportunity for our PC crew to grow in our faith and connection to God. In addition to having a great time hanging out with Catholic youth from all over the Diocese of Richmond, we had the opportunity to represent Peninsula Catholic at the workshop titled "Evangelization in High School". Evan J sat on the panel to answer questions and give his perspective on the faith community at PC.
Freshman Zachary M shared his thoughts on participating in the conference:
"DYC was one of the most memorable experiences of my life. Everything was incredible, from the speakers and adoration to the concert and inflatables. However, the one thing that stood out to me was the Adoration of the Eucharist on Saturday night. We weren't just groups of people in a convention center, but one body, gathered to worship God and His greatest act of love for us, the Eucharist. It was so powerful, some people were even weeping, because of how close Jesus was to us. Everyone should go to DYC at least once in their lifetime."
