Girls' Volleyball and Boys' Cross Country Take Top Honors

What a weekend for PC athletics! The Tidewater Conference of Independent Schools (TCIS) gave first place trophies to two PC teams this week.
First, the boys' cross country team competed at Bells Mill Park on Friday. PC took first place overall, with 4 of the top five runners. This is the ninth year in a row that the boys have brought home the first place award. Senior Andrew Via also finished first overall for the individual championship.
On Saturday, the Lady Knights went against Nansemond-Suffolk Academy in the TCIS finals. Junior Baileigh Edmonds once again helped her team to victory, and was awarded the tournament Most Valuable Player award. Other individual honors were given to senior Anna D, who made 1st team all-conference, and junior Jade A, on 2nd team all-conference.
It was a thrilling weekend for our champion teams, and statewide competitions are this week!
